Gabi Garcia, a senior at Sunset High School, is proud to announce a camp at Sunset high school this summer to introduce middle school aged girls to computer science, called FACT Camp.

In addition to lessons on a variety of types of programming, including Swift (Apple) programming, game design, and robotics (as well as many more), participants will also take a field trip to local tech companies to see what it's like to work in tech. “As a former camper and the current head of the camp, I can confirm that it is immensely fun and educational,” Gabi shares.

The camp, a collaborative effort between ChickTech, Sunset, Gabi, her student team, and the NCWIT AspireIT program, runs June 17th - 21st from 8 AM to 12 PM sharp, and is open to female-identifying students in grades 6-9. It costs $50 for the week, but scholarships are available - contact this email address for more information.

Here's the link to register a camper. Deadline to register is June 6th.
